My daughter Colleen and I love writing children's books so much, we wrote another! Nelson's Garden & the Free Little Flower Stand finds Nelson, Belle, Rosie, and Grace with a garden overflowing with flowers, so they build a free little flower stand and give them away by the side of the road. Together, they discover that when you put kindness out into the world, it can't help but take root and grow.

Missy was one of my lifelong best friends. A social worker by trade, she tapped into her experience as a domestic and sexual abuse survivor to counsel women in crisis. About a year before she died of breast cancer, Missy asked me to establish a fund in her name. The Sweet Melissa Fund provides emergency financial assistance to women and their families.
